This was a larger painting that I have a photo of, and will post that and cross link at some point. I liked the clear direction that both men were looking in, as well as the obvious attention the dog was paying to the man.
It got me frustrated with pencils and pens, though. I'd love to have a portable means to make my highlights not just negative space. I like working with pencils, and pen - colored pencils don't cut it, althogh they might be better for this kind of work - and museums don't let you bring in your own easel and paints. I'll have to get back into exploring media some.
